WCD has a new logo and letterhead to match the name change.

Here is the new logo for Workplace Chaplaincy in Derbyshire, as considered and adopted by the recent Council meeting.

Name change being put into effect

Workplace Chaplaincy in Derbyshire - Putting the name change into effect

From Thursday 1st September, we are the Workplace Chaplaincy in Derbyshire (WCD). The name Industrial Chaplaincy in Derbyshire (IMD) ceases to exist as a current term on 31st August 2011.

As far as the website goes, we are changing the names and terms to reflect the new identity, and this is being done wherever pages and items are intended to be read as currently applying.

Articles and items written before 31st August 2011 will, in many cases, continue to refer to the names that were in use at the time that the authors were writing.

Please continue to bear with us. if you see anywhere on the website that makes old references and should be changed, then mail in and tell us! Thanks.

Progress so far with name alterations:

1 >> ABOUT WCD and it's subsidiary pages have all been updated to reflect the new terms.

2 >> CHAPLAINCY SECTORS page has been altered to reference WCD. The subsidiary pages are largely unaffected by the name change, and any quoted items that do refer to IMD continue to do so, as they were written by the chaplains at those times. Small changes have been made to COURTS (where the chaplain is also Chair of WCD) and POLICE pages.

3 >> On DIARY OF EVENTS 2011 page, forthcoming events now refer to WCD.

4 >> The ABOUT THIS SITE page has had its various disclaimers brought into the new terms.
